This was truly a project of a lifetime. In 2011, USGBC invited us to help tell a powerful story of resilience in Haiti—and the ambitious effort to build a LEED Platinum orphanage in one of the world’s most challenged environments.
Director/DP Justin Maine led a small, three-person crew on location in Port-au-Prince, capturing the spirit of hope and innovation over the course of a week. Together with their project partners, USGBC set out to create a global, replicable model of sustainability—right in the heart of Haiti.
